Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to replace my roof?

Replacing your roof typically only takes one day for a one-story single-family home. However, the time it takes to complete the job is subject to the mercy of Mother Nature. If the weather does not cooperate, G and Bros Roofing may need to complete the job on another day. Additionally, if the roof is two stories, the roofing contractor may need to take more time to ensure the job is done properly.

Why do I need a roof warranty?

A roof warranty is an important part of any roofing project. Architectural GAF shingles come with a lifetime warranty at no extra cost. This warranty covers both manufacturing defects and the performance of the shingles over time. It provides peace of mind that the shingles will continue to perform as expected, even when exposed to harsh weather and environmental conditions. Additionally, the warranty can provide coverage for any repairs needed due to manufacturing defects. With a roof warranty, you can ensure that your roofing project is of the highest quality and will last for years to come.

Why do I need ridge vents?

Ridge vents are a critical component of a roofing system, as they provide proper ventilation for attics and other enclosed roofing spaces. According to the 2009 IBC International Building Code, ridge vents are required for any roofing system with a pitch of 3:12 or greater. Ridge vents are installed along the ridge line of the roof and allow warm air to escape from the attic. This helps to reduce the risk of moisture buildup, which can cause damage to the roof and the building structure. Ridge vents also help to extend the life of roofing materials, as they allow heat to escape and reduce the temperature in the attic. Properly installed ridge vents are essential for a safe, well-ventilated roofing system.

What residential roofing materials do you install?

We install GAF asphalt shingles and metal roofing panels.
